Rodr\uedguez-Acosta A, Reyes-Lugo M. 2004. Hallazgo de Tityus bahiensis (Perty 1833) (Scorpiones: Buthidae) en Venezuela. Entomotropica 19(2): 107-108. Tityus bahiensis (Perty 1833) is a highly dangerous species widely distributed in Brazil (from Bahia to Matto Grosso states), northern Argentina and Paraguay. In urban Caracas is frequent to find scorpions inside houses, but the finding of a dead T. bahiensis, not an indigenous species, indicates the importance of port and airport controls to reduce accidental introduction of exotic venomous fauna and the risk that implies their possible establishment.Rodr\uedguez-Acosta A, Reyes-Lugo M. 2004.
