Presencia e Incidencia de Virus de la Vid en la Zona Central de Chile

In growing seasons from 1996 to 2000, surveys were conducted in order to determine the incidence of Grape Fan Leaf Virus (GFLV), Grape Leaf Roll Virus (GLRV), Tomato Ringspot Virus (ToRSV) y Cherry Leaf Roll Virus (CLRV) in production and propagation material of grapevines. A total of 16974 samples from 33 localities were studied. In all sites, samples were collected from every 10th row, and on each row from every 10th plant. All samples were tested by ELISA using antisera of the indicated viruses. The results showed viral infection in 84.8% of the sites. The total incidence of GFLV was 0.2%, GLRV 0.6%, ToRSV 8.6% and CLRV 0.2%. However, variation was observed in viral incidence within sites ranging between 0 and 72.6%. The incidence of viral infection in mother material for propagation was 22.1%. It is concluded that the ToRSV is the most prevalent virus in Central Chile.Entre las temporadas de cultivo 1996 y 2000 se realiz\uf3 una prospecci\uf3n con el prop\uf3sito de establecer la incidencia de Grape Fan Leaf virus (GFLV), Grape Leaf Roll Virus (GLRV), Tomato Ringspot Virus (ToRSV) y Cherry Leaf Roll Virus (CLRV) en vides ( Vitis vinifera L.), tanto en producci\uf3n como en material madre para propagaci\uf3n. Se analizaron 16.974 muestras provenientes de 33 localidades. En cada predio se colectaron muestras siguiendo el siguiente esquema: en forma correlativa se tom\uf3 la d\ue9cima hilera y dentro de la hilera se colectaron muestras, sucesivamente, de la d\ue9cima planta. Todas las muestras se analizaron para cada uno de los virus indicados mediante la prueba ELISA empleando sueros policlonales (SANOFI, Francia). Los resultados mostraron que el 84,8 % de los predios presentan infecci\uf3n virosa. Del total de muestras colectadas GFLV mostr\uf3 una incidencia de 0,2%, GLRV 0,6%, ToRSV 8,6% y CLRV 0,2%. La incidencia de los distintos virus en cada predio en particular fue variable, fluctuando entre 0% y 72,6%. Los resultados de la incidencia virosa en material madre para propagaci\uf3n fue de 22,1%. Se concluye que el virus de mayor incidencia en vides en la zona central de Chile es ToRSV
