This work is devoted to the study of the influence of repatriates from the countries of the former USSR on the Israeli labor market in the years 1991-2006. Based on data from the Israeli Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS), we try to examine how strong the influence of immigrants was on the unemployment rate and how their representation on the labor market changed qualitatively and quantitatively. Another important issue that the work deals with is the study of the work absorption of newly arrived Jews from the territory of the former Soviet Union and the opportunities they had to quickly find work corresponding to their professional and other interests
