OBSTACLES FACED BY THE TUTOR IN IMPLEMENTING TEACHING TECHNIQUES IN SPEAKING SKILLS AT ENGLISH COURSE PARE KEDIRI

Reliable tutors implement the techniques to the best of their abilities to facilitate effective teaching and learning. However, for the teaching process to go as planned, teaching techniques rely on the tutors’ skills when carrying out their students' teaching and learning process. Therefore, tutors must have superb teaching techniques. The present research is intended to know the obstacles to the techniques used by the tutor in teaching speaking at The Delta English Center Course, Pare Kediri, and the tutor’s experience with the techniques implemented by the tutor in teaching speaking at The Delta English Center Course, Pare Kediri. This qualitative research used questionnaires and interviews to collect the data. This study attempted to investigate the English tutor’s techniques and the obstacles in teaching speaking skills at Pare Kediri by involving the tutor who teaches at the Delta English Center Course, especially the tutor who focuses on teaching speaking skills. Based on the research finding explained on two topics, the tutor used three techniques in teaching English speaking at The Delta English Center Course, Pare Kediri. The techniques included Exercising, Exploring, Explaining, Giving opinions or ideas, and Questioning papers. The tutor used the technique of teaching speaking in one meeting.
