The paper deals with the issue of value orientation of today ́s adolescents from theoretical and empirical point of view. It presents the basic theoretical fundamentals of values in education. The aim is to highlight the value orientation of adolescent youth in the context of the educational environment in the Slovak Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany.
