بررسی انتقادی از سفرنامه‌نویسان دوره صفویه در زمینه بهداشت و سلامت

Background and Aim: The presence of Westerners with different goals in the Safavid period was more prominent than other dynasties. During this period, some travelogue writers with various purposes wrote travelogues that have been used in most of the researches related to Safavid history. One of the topics covered by travelogue writers is health. In this research, the intention is to analyze the views of these people to determine how reliable these books are for research on health in the Safavid period? Methods: This research is an analytical-critical study that uses written sources of the Safavid period and foreign sources (European travelogues) to examine the views of travel writers on health. Ethical Considerations: In the present study, the ethical aspects of library study including originality of texts, honesty and trustworthiness have been observed. Results: In this study, it was found that travel writers have different views on health and in some cases, their statements, although at the same time, were in Iran; There were many differences. Conclusion: The study of Safavid travelogues in the field of health led to the conclusion that some travelogue writers with their political and personal goals and intentions, did not record the correct information in their works. Tārīkh-i pizishkī, i.e., Medical History. 2022; 14(47): e36.زمینه و هدف: حضور غربیان با اهداف متفاوت در دوران صفویه نسبت به دیگر سلسله‌ها پررنگ‌تر بوده است. در این دوران برخی از سفرنامه‌نویسان با اهداف گوناگون اقدام به نگارش سفرنامه‌هایی کردند که در بیشتر پژوهش‌های مرتبط با صفویه مورد استفاده تاریخ‌پژوهان قرار گرفته است. یکی از موضوع‌هایی که سفرنامه‌نویسان به آن پرداخته‌اند، موضوع بهداشت و سلامت است. در این پژوهش قصد بر این است دیدگاه‌های این افراد مورد واکاوی قرار گیرد تا مشخص گردد، چقدر این کتاب‌ها، منبع موثقی برای پژوهش در زمینه بهداشت و سلامت دوران صفویه می‌باشد؟ روش: این پژوهش یک مطالعه تحلیلی ـ انتقادی است که با بهره‌جستن از منابع مکتوب دوران صفویه و منابع خارجی (سفرنامه‌های اروپاییان) به بررسی دیدگاه‌های سفرنامه‌نویسان در مورد بهداشت و سلامت پرداخته می‌شود. ملاحظات اخلاقی: در پژوهش حاضر جنبه‌های اخلاقی مطالعه کتابخانه‌ای شامل اصالت متون، صداقت و امانتداری رعایت شده است. یافته‌ها: در این پژوهش مشخص گردید که سفرنامه‌نویسان درباره بهداشت و سلامت، دارای دیدگاه‌های متفاوتی می‌باشند و در برخی موارد، گفته‌های آنان هرچند به طور همزمان در ایران بوده‌اند، تفاوت‌های زیادی داشته‌اند. نتیجه‌گیری: مطالعه و بررسی سفرنامه‌های دوران صفویه در زمینه بهداشت و سلامت، این نتیجه را دربر داشت که برخی سفرنامه‌نویسان با اهداف و اغراض سیاسی و شخصی خویش، اطلاعات صحیحی را در آثار خود ثبت نکرده‌اند. از این رو در استناد به این منابع، می‌بایست با تأمل و دقت بیشتری از آن‌ها بهره گرفت
