It is known that the number of light hours or photoperiod plays an important role in the reproduction of rabbits. The most important photodependent hormone is melatonin produced in the pineal gland, its role is key in reproductive neuroendocrine control. Ecuador is a country that has a constant number of daylight hours throughout the year, so reproduction is not subject to the time of year, contrary to what happens with animals found in countries with marked seasons. The objective of this work was to evaluate a continuous lighting program of 16 hours of light in New Zealand white rabbits raised in Ecuador on seminal and sperm parameters.Es conocido que la cantidad de horas luz o fotoperiodo juega un rol importante en la reproducción de los ...
