Seaweed Sargassum polycystum, a common genus of brown algae richly represented in the Philippine marine macrobentic algal flora, was introduced to successfully synthesize magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (Fe3O4 –NP’s) for removal of methylene blue (MB) in aqueous solution.
