Diseño y validación de un instrumento de evaluación del compromiso docente en educación media superior

This research describes the process of designing and validating an instrument for evaluating teacher commitment that addresses the evaluation of the variable teacher commitment, identified as inherent to the achievement of student learning and key to quality education. The design of the scale contemplates the conceptualization of the commitment variable, based on its components: behavioral, cognitive and affective. Validation was obtained by expert judgment, in addition to statistical analysis with Kendall's W coefficient. In a first phase, the instrument was piloted with 42 teachers, later it was applied to the sample of 460 teachers from the municipalities of Nezahualcóyotl and Ecatepec de Morelos in the State of Mexico. The Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) test was applied, as well as the Bartlett sphericity test, observing acceptable indicators, the exploratory factor analysis (EFA) by the method of maximum likelihood and Varimax rotation with Kaiser normalization, identifying five factors with a matrix made up of 30 items, as well as a Pearson correlation analysis based on those items with the highest factor loading. After the analysis of the corrected homogeneity coefficient, the scale reached validity and reliability, through a Cronbach's alpha of 0.83.Esta investigación describe el proceso de diseño y validación de un instrumento de evaluación del compromiso docente que aborda la valoración de la variable compromiso docente, identificada como inherente hacia el logro del aprendizaje en los estudiantes y clave para una educación de calidad. El diseño de la escala contempla la conceptualización de la variable compromiso, a partir de sus componentes: conductual, cognitivo y afectivo. Se obtuvo validación por juicio de expertos, además del análisis estadístico con el coeficiente W de Kendall. En una primera fase se piloteó el instrumento con 42 docentes, posteriormente se aplicó a la muestra de 460 maestros de los municipios de Nezahualcóyotl y Ecatepec de Morelos del Estado de México. Se aplicó la prueba Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO), así como la prueba de esfericidad de Bartlett, observándose indicadores aceptables, el análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE) por el método de máxima verosimilitud y rotación Varimax con normalización Kaiser, identificándose cinco factores con una matriz integrada por 30 ítems, así como un análisis de correlación de Pearson a partir de aquellos reactivos con mayor carga factorial.
