Maroteaux-Lamy Syndrome, also known as mucopolysaccharidosis type VI, is a syndrome that is part of a group of very rare metabolic diseases, and affects a small number of individuals when compared to the general population. The main objective of the study is to report the evaluation of the diagnosis and treatment of patients with MPS VI. Data were collected using the scientific databases: Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), National Library of medicine (PUBMED), Virtual Health Library – (VHL), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO).
