The Influence of Financial Behavior, Financial Knowledge, and Financial Attitude Toward Financial Literacy (Study on Students of Economics and Business Faculty UNSOED)

The understanding of financial literacy is important in every aspect of life that is a financial actor. Having financial literacy is a foundation for a prosperous financial life. Especially colleges have competencies in educating and disseminating the financial information, and students as a member of the College could be expected to improve their financial literacy. Through the teaching and learning process, students expected to acquire financial knowledge, which is expected to build their financial attitudes, and ultimately determining positive financial behavior. The general purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of financial knowledge, financial behaviour, and financial attitude toward financial literacy on students of Economic and Bussines Faculty Jenderal Soedirman University. The sample research were management students in Faculty of Economics and Business, Jenderal Soedirman University. The sampling technique used was slovin method Thus, the sample of this study was 90 respondents. The data analysis technique used are validity and reliability test, classic assumption test, and multiple linear regression analysis. The result show several conclusions. Financial knowledge has a positive influence on financial literacy. Therefore, the first hypothesis is accepted. Financial behavior has a positive influence on financial literacy. Therefore, the second hypothesis is accepted. Financial attitude has a positive influence on financial literacy. Therefore, the third hypothesis is accepted. The main implication of the present study has been encountered in two ways. First one is that it helps to understand the financial behaviour of management students. The second one is that despite ducational background, they are not able to be financially independent. The present work gives insight in order to enhance their financial literacy
