PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT MELALUI PENGELOLAAN DESA WISATA EDUKASI BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL

The village of Bangunkerto is set to become one of the tourist village in Sleman regency since 2007, but so far the management of tourism in the village has not run well and less organized so that tourists who visit not yet maximal. Therefore, guidance and community empowerment is done through KKN-PPM activities. The purpose of this activity is to be able to contribute to solving the problems that exist in society primarily in the empowerment of the community through the management of local wisdom-based tourist village. The methods applied in the framework of empowerment of target groups in this KKN-PPM program are, among others, (1) observation activities; (2) interview; (3) FGD; (4) counseling; (5) training; (6) practice, (7) mentoring, (8) KKN-PPM supervision, (9) monitoring and 10) evaluation. The result of this activity is (1) the establishment of the village museum, (2) management and administration of modern tourist village management, (3) typical village food making, (4) ICT-based publication media
