Burnout Syndrome (BOS) is a complex chronic occupational stressor, defined by Maslach and Jackson (1981) as a Syndrome of Emotional Exhaustion (EE), Depersonalisation (DP) and reduced Personal Accomplishment (PA) among workers in human service environment, towards job demand that is beyond their mental, emotional and physical capacity.
