On the conception of the dream in lulua traditional environment This article, in a spirit of constructive criticism, resumes a theme already dealt with in "Ethnopsychology" . According to the conception of the Luluwas, a tribe of the Luba ethnic group in Zaire, the dream is a communication between man and the souls of the dead, divine beings or other men. This interpretation therefore supposes an analysis of the signification of human society and of the universe as well as of the nature of the mind and its functioning. After showing that the dream is a communication between the minds of human beings and describing its categories, the writer raises the question of its symbolism and gives a key to dreams through the presentation of some case...
