L'évolution du concept d'innovation : entrepreneurs, territoires et réseaux

The study of innovation and its geographical conditions has experienced a big success since the crises of the seventies. The aim of this article is to examine the evolution of this concept under two different approaches. The first chapter puts the emphasis on the role of entrepreneurship. The second chapter presents some of the main works on the relation between Space and Innovation. The conclusion focuses on the new trends in research that tend to free it from the notion of territorial limits and spatial hierarchy in order to favor the concepts of network and proximity.L’étude de l’innovation et de ses conditions géographiques a connu un regain d’intérêt depuis la crise des années 1970. Cet article se propose d’examiner plus largement l’évolution du concept d’innovation sous deux angles différents. La première partie met l’accent sur le rôle de l’entrepreneur individuel. La deuxième présente quelques-uns des principaux travaux sur la relation entre Espace et Innovation. La conclusion se focalise sur les nouvelles voies de la recherche qui tendent à s’affranchir des notions de limite territoriale et hiérarchie spatiale pour privilégier les concepts de réseau et proximité.Daviet Sylvie.
