An Evaluation of the Transition from Linear Economy to Circular Economy

This study has aimed that it highlights the existing and current dynamics in terms of economic theory and economic models crystallizing this transition from linear to circular economy. In this study it has proceeded to an evaluation of the transition from the linear economy to the circular economy. To do this a study of the concepts that surround the circular economy and the economy has discussed in connection with the SDGs allowing a good understanding of the problem. Again, for the evaluation of the transition from the linear to the circular economy a bibliometric approach was used thanks to the VoSviewer software to find publications on sustainability in the Scopus database. Mainly four concepts related to sustainability, sustainability and rural development, circular economy with the and green economy with the main associated keywords were analyzed by VOSviewer software. Accordingly that the four concepts that are discussed are closely associated with sustainability. And this situation suggests that sustainability research continues to develop by deriving new concepts, and it determined that although new concepts are derived and new approaches are proposed, the concept of sustainability retains its place in the literature
