Judo wrestlers' sport injuries, return to professional sports

The problem studied in the work is the return of judo wrestlers to professional sports after suffering sports injuries. The aim of the work is to reveal the problems of sports injuries and return to professional sports experienced by Lithuanian judo wrestlers. Tasks: To investigate the most common sports injuries experienced by judo wrestlers; To determine the factors and causes that determine the sports injuries of judo wrestlers; To investigate the problems by judo wrestlers during rehabilitation in order to return to professional sports. Hypothesis: Judo wrestlers who have suffered sports injuries feel fear of returning to professional sports. The research method is quantitative, using a questionnaire. Results: Many of the judo wrestlers interviewed often experience sports injuries. Injuries to the neck, upper and lower extremities are most common. Respondents most often experience injuries during regular training sessions. The main factors causing injuries: training, non-compliance with the safety rules of technical requirements, fatigue, underestimation of all possible risks, poor warm-up. During rehabilitation, athletes face such problems as long enough rehabilitation time, various pains. The hypothesis has not been confirmed, professional judo wrestlers do not feel a strong fear of returning to professional sports after experiencing sports injuries
