When a vehicle is turning at high speed, the side force acting on the tyre produces a side slip angle. If the speed is large enough and the slip angle reaches a maximum value, the tyre begins to slide laterally. In this case the swept path of the vehicle is quite different in comparison with the one in the non-sliding case. This paper presents some research results of dynamics of vehicles cornering at high speed with tyre sliding and also a swept path for this case. A dynamical model is created based on the calculation of the generalized reaction forces of constraints of the mechanical model under consideration.
