Portland cement production is responsible for approximately 5% of global emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) around the world. An Important contribution to the sustainability of this industry is the use of pozzolans that reduce the content of Portland cement for concrete Manufacturing, and more if the material used comes from a residue like construction and demolition; for that reason it is proposed the use of masonry waste as an alternative material to pozzolans.
