In education there is a broad reflection on didactic strategies that enable teaching-learning processes in the classroom; what is crucial in the face of discourses in Colombian education such as the ´culture of peace´, a complex issue. Therefore, the cinema is presented as an alternative that allows building an environment for learning and teaching. For these reasons, a reflection was made based on literature that addresses the construct of peace and its relationship with the discourses of 'teaching for the culture of peace', as well as the idea of cinema as an educational alternative.
