This article aims to reflect on the concepts and meanings of the categories school, curriculum and democracy, in order to observe the contributions of theorists to the understanding of these categories and how they are manifested in the training paths of teachers. The work was developed through the study of authors who address the themes discussed and also based on the debates held in the discipline School, Curriculum, and Democracy, of the Academic Master's Degree in Education and Teaching – MAIE - linked to the State University of Ceará – UECE.
