Dental caries and risk factors in high school adolescents. I.E. Colonel Bruno Terreros Baldeón Jauja – Junín, 2021

En la investigación el objetivo fué determinar la relación entre conocimiento y riesgo de caries en los adolescentes de secundaria de la I.E. Coronel Bruno Terreros Baldeón, provincia de Jauja - Junín 2021. El método de tipo básica y de diseño correlacional, la muestra fue probabilística conformada por 174 adolescentes del 1ro al 5to de secundaria, con edades entre 12 y 17 años. El análisis de los datos se llevó a cabo mediante la estadística descriptiva e inferencial a través de prueba no paramétrica de Correlación de Spearman. Los resultados se evidenciaron que el 46,6% correspondieron entre 12 y 13 años, el 55,7% fueron de sexo masculino y en cuanto al grado de estudios hubieron más de primer y segundo grado de secundaria con 25,3% y 24.1% respectivamente, Se identificó que el nivel de conocimiento sobre caries fue “bueno” en un 51,1%, y que el riesgo de caries fue “alto” en un 84,5%.The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between knowledge and caries risk in high school adolescents of the I.E. Coronel Bruno Terreros Baldeón, province of Jauja - Junín 2021. The method was basic and of correlational design, the sample was probabilistic and consisted of 174 adolescents from the 1st to the 5th year of high school, with ages between 12 and 17 years old. The data analysis was carried out by means of descriptive and inferential statistics through Spearman's Correlation nonparametric test. The results showed that 46.6% were between 12 and 13 years of age, 55.7% were male, and as for the level of studies, there were more first and second grade of secondary school with 25.3% and 24.1% respectively. It was identified that the level of knowledge about caries was "good" in 51.1%, and that the risk of caries was "high" in 84.5%
