Maurice Ross (c. 1894)

This is a portrait of Springfield College alumnus Maurice Ross (class of 1894).Ross was born in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on September 19, 1871. Before coming to Springfield College, he worked as a dry goods clerk. During his last year at school, he worked as physical director at the Chicopee YMCA in Massachusetts. After graduation, Ross held the same position at the YMCA in Fitchburg, Massachusetts (1895-1898), and Portland, Maine (1899-1903). After his time in Portland, Ross left Association work. He died on July 4, 1949
