Abstract: This study aims to describe the people of Banjar South Kalimantan who have a variety of cultures that still have a strong emotional connection with the old culture left by their ancestors. Beliefs that are deeply rooted in the community make some rituals in culture mandatory to be carried out under customary law. The influence of old beliefs gave its color to the culture of the Banjar people who later acculturated and collaborated with Islam. The steps taken in data collection in this study include sorting, organizing, and editing. After all the desired data is collected, data analysis is carried out with interpretation.
