Środowisko akademickie jako przestrzeń kształtowania kompetencji społecznych

The topic of social competences is often taken up in scientific research, but in pedagogical practice it appears to be a partially neglected area. Conclusions of scientific research are difficult to transfer into educational reality. The study analyzes the level of social competences of students of the University of Technology and Humanities in Radom. The measurement of the level of competence using the Social Competence Questionnaire (SCQ) by Matczak was used. The research has shown that both students starting and finishing their studies are characterized by an average level of social competences. The received data are disturbing, because in the case of persons who are preparing for professions in which the essence is contact with other people, the expectations of their social competences level after graduation are higher than the average level observed in the conducted analysis. The study discusses a “Project of shaping social competences for students of pedagogical faculties” addressed to students of pedagogical faculties. It is based on a cognitive concept. The description of the graduate’s profile uses the studies of Kwaśnica and Argyle, and also the provisions contained in the “Standard of education preparing for the teaching profession”.Temat kompetencji społecznych jest często podejmowany w badaniach naukowych, jednak w praktyce pedagogicznej jawi się jako obszar częściowo zaniedbany. Wnioski z badań naukowych trudno przekładają się na rzeczywistość edukacyjną. W opracowaniu dokonano analizy poziomu kompetencji społecznych studentów Uniwersytetu Technologiczno-Humanistycznego w Radomiu. Wykorzystano Kwestionariusz Kompetencji Społecznych (KKS) autorstwa Matczak. Badania wykazały, że zarówno studenci rozpoczynający, jak i kończący studia charakteryzują się przeciętnym poziomem kompetencji społecznych. Otrzymane dane są niepokojące, ponieważ w przypadku osób przygotowujących się do zawodów, których istotą jest kontakt z drugim człowiekiem, oczekiwania wobec ich poziomu kompetencji społecznych po ukończeniu studiów są wyższe niż zaobserwowany w przeprowadzonej analizie poziom przeciętny. W opracowaniu omówiono „Projekt kształtowania kompetencji społecznych dla studentów kierunków pedagogicznych”, adresowany do studentów kierunków pedagogicznych. Jest on oparty na koncepcji poznawczej. W opisie sylwetki absolwenta wykorzystano opracowania Kwaśnicy i Argyle’a, a także uwzględniono zapisy zawarte w „Standardzie kształcenia przygotowującym do wykonywania zawodu nauczyciela”
