Analisis Transformasi Fisikal Wilayah Peri Urban (WPU) Kota Tembilahan ( Studi Kasus : Kecamatan Tembilahan Hulu, Kabupaten Indragiri Hilir)

Tembilahan Hulu District was an area classified as a peri-urban area administratively because it is bordered by the city center of Tembilahan and physically includes urban land use and rural land use. The purpose of this research was to analyze the physical transformation of the Peri Urban Area (WPU) in Tembilahan Hulu District and to identify the factors that influence the physical transformation of the Peri Urban Area (WPU) in Tembilahan City. The type of research used was deductive research with quantitative and descriptive methods. The analysis technique was superimpose analysis technique to obtained the results of the physical transformation of the peri urban area, then was the Likert scale analysis technique to obtained the factors that affected the physical transformation of the peri urban area. The results of this study were, (1) the land cover in Tembilahan Hulu Subdistrict in 2004-2019 there was a significant change in the area of land built in Tembilahan Hulu District, namely an increase of 278 ha. (2) The percentage of developed land in Tembilahan Hulu District 2004-2019 is 0.64% -2.14% which is classified as very low density. (3) The total change in the local road network 2014-2019 in Tembilahan Hulu District is 128.10 km. (4) Refering to the 7 factors that are considered to influence the physical transformation of peri urban areas in Tembilahan Hulu District, 2 factors were categorized as strongly influencing the physical transformation of peri urban areas in Tembilahan Hulu District, namely the socio-economic and topography. 4 factors categorized as influencing physical transformation, namely demographic, availability of housing facilities, accessibility, and utility network availability.
