Peningkatan produktivitas dapat dilakukan dengan budidaya sistem resirkulasi atau RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System). Sistem Akuakultur resirkulasi adalah sistem yang menggunakan kembali (reuse) air untuk budidaya ikan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisa variasi padat tebar optimal terhadap pertumbuhan panjang, berat dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental, dengan desain Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 2 kali ulangan, yaitu perlakuan A (kepadatan 75 ekor/m3), B (100 ekor/m3), dan C (125 ekor/m3).
