Introduction: Diabetic foot disease is a complication of diabetes mellitus that significantly affects the quality of life. It can be prevented through concrete and straightforward actions of routine foot care. Objective: To describe the clinical characteristics, the risk of diabetic foot disease, and its association with the level of self-care in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the city of Tunja. Methods: Quantitative cross-sectional study with a sample of 79 participants selected by convenience.
