Many studies have been conducted for the purpose of finding the type of child or adult who is a leader in his community or who is generally well accepted socially. (7,449) Considerable interest has been shown in the studying the kind of personality that makes a favorable impression on others; however, it seems that very little has been said or done about those individuals who are unable to become socially adjusted. (21,26) first few years of a child's existence is of most importance, for it is then that the youngster's life is being shaped not only by the teacher in the classroom but also by the children in the home and in the neighborhood who work and play with him
