At the beginning of this century, Brazilian cities have been the scene of intense real estate production, a remarkable fact in the cities of the interior of São Paulo, especially the medium-sized cities. Several indicators reveal large-scale production in these territories that goes beyond the relations established between supply and demand, pointing, as we will try to demonstrate, the role of urban space as a draining of capital in search of valorization. The article aims to expose the logics behind this scenario, especially from the analysis of the production of urban lots, taking as a study clipping São José do Rio Preto and neighboring municipalities, which present very expressive numbers in terms of new allotments.A principios de este ...
