The present experiment examined whether the effect of word length in naming presented by Italian dyslexic s holds in a situation that isolates the contribution of productive components. The results confirmed previous evidence of length effect in Italian dyslexics (Spinelli et al., 2005). Introducing a delay between stimulus presentation and participants’ response resulted in faster RTs and a progressive reduction of word length influence in dyslexics
