This research sought to determine external load and impact differences between positions during men’s NCAA Division III lacrosse participation. GPS units collected external load metrics during practices and games from 47 male lacrosse athletes divided into attack (AT), offensive midfield (OM), defensive midfield (DM), and defense (DEF) positions. Dependent variables included total distance (TD), walking (WD), jogging (JD), running (RD), sprinting (SD), work rate (WR, m/minute), and intensity (based on GPS unit’s intensity algorithm).
