Purpose: Aphasia is a debilitating sequela of stroke leading to a significant impact on a patient’s quality of life. Stroke patients are seen in many different clinical settings. The purpose of this article is to raise awareness of aphasia treatments, particularly intensive therapy. Method: A PubMed search was conducted of the clinical question “Is high intensity language therapy effective in stroke patients with chronic aphasia?” Results: The search yielded 305 results using the basic search engine.
