FORMANDO PROFESSORAS, DESENVOLVENDO TRAJETÓRIAS : aspectos históricos da Escola Normal Santa Teresinha em Imperatriz – MA

This study is part of a master's research that aimed to analyze the history of primary education, specifically in Imperatriz ­ MA, from 1960 to 1980, as a mainly female modality of professional training and practice. In this study, our objective is to present the history of the first teacher training course in the city ofImperatriz ­ MA, the Santa Teresinha Regional Teacher Course. To respond to the objective proposed in the research, we opted for documental analysis and interviews with the teachers trained in the course. The Santa Teresinha Regional Teacher Course represented an important educational space because it gavetraining and work opportunities for many women in the city. This research was also significant in understanding the beginning of the history of teaching in the city, comprehending it as one of the first steps toward expanding teacher training institutions in the city.Este estudo é parte de uma pesquisa de mestrado que teve por finalidade analisar a história do magistério primário, especificamente em Imperatriz – MA, entre os anos de 1960-1980, enquanto uma modalidade de formação e exercício profissional majoritariamente feminino. Neste estudo, nosso objetivo é apresentar a história do primeiro curso de formação de professores da cidade de Imperatriz – MA, o Curso Normal Regional Santa Teresinha. Para responder ao objetivo proposto na pesquisa, optamos pela análise documental e entrevistas com as professoras normalistas formadas no curso. O Curso Normal Regional Santa Teresinha representou um importante espaço educativo, isso porque abriu oportunidades de formação e de trabalho para muitas mulheres na cidade. Esta pesquisa foi significativa também no sentido de compreendermos o início da história do magistério na cidade, entendendo-o como um dos primeiros passos para a expansão das instituições para formação de professores
