Trilce y los muñecos de la retórica

This article explores the main characteristics of Trilce, the most emblematic collection of poems by Cesar Vallejo and, without a doubt, one of the greatest works of the original avant-garde. From its conception, in a stage after the remnants of modernism in which Vallejo started writing, to its reception and reading, which was not without controversy, the history of Trilce is markedly unique. Vallejo makes a radical change: from the familiar world expressed with simplicity and clarity in poems like “To my brother Miguel” or from the tension that was already noticeable between Rubendarian modernism and a future not yet foreseeable in texts like “Spergesia” in the case of The Black Heralds, Vallejo leads us to a universe in which, without ever abandoning his original themes, he endows them with a dark, hermetic expression that defies all the conventions of his time.El presente artículo es una exploración de las principales características de Trilce, el poemario más emblemático de César Vallejo y sin duda alguna una de las obras mayores de la vanguardia original. Desde su gestación, en una etapa posterior a los remanentes del modernismo en los que Vallejo se había iniciado como poeta, hasta su recepción y lectura, que no estuvo exenta de polémica, la historia de Trilce es marcadamente singular. Vallejo opera un cambio radical: del mundo familiar —expresado con sencillez y diafanidad en poemas como “A mi hermano Miguel”— o de la tensión que ya se dejaba notar entre el modernismo rubendariano y un futuro no previsible aún —en textos como “Espergesia”, en el caso de Los heraldos negros—, Vallejo nos conduce a un universo en el que, sin abandonar nunca sus temas primigenios, los dota de una expresión oscura, hermética y desafiante a todas las convenciones de su tiempo
