In 1997, The UN General Assembly unanimously has adopted The Report of the special Reporter on “Traditional or customary practices affecting the health of women and girls“ by The Resolution A/52/637 and other documents in these ground in order to protect the rights of women and girls all over the world. In spite of that, the rights to health of several women and girls are continuing to be violated by such harmful practices like forced marriage and childmarriage in different countries. This article aims to deal with forced and child marriages in the Republic of Benin and the endeavor of the local authorities to overcome such phenomena.В 1997 году Генеральная Ассамблея ООН единогласно одобрила в виде Резолюции №A/52/637 доклад специального докладчика «О практиках и обычаях, угрожающих здоровью женщин и девушек» и другие документы в целях защиты прав женщин и девушек в мире. Несмотря на это многие практики, не только угрожающие здоровью женщин и девушек, но и ущемляющие их права, сохраняются во многих странах мира. Бенин является одной из стран, где до сих пор сохраняется практика принудительных и ранних браков девушек. Настоящая статья нацелена на описание практики принудительных и ранних браков в Республике Бенин и попыток государства решить проблему законодательным путем
