Introduction: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is a disease that offers complications to the mother/baby binomial. In order to deal with this it's necessary a multidisciplinary approach capable of including the mother when promoting health education. Objective: Conduct an action research in health education on the theme of gestational diabetes, quantify the prevalence of the disease, observe the degree of knowledge of pregnant women and collect opinions of the multidisciplinary health team on the subject.
