The article presents an analysis of factors affecting the prevalence of atopic dermatitis (AtD) in the world. The steady increase in AtD prevalence of in the general population is associated with genetic and environmental factors. Studies of external environment influence on genes expression play an important role in understanding genetic-ecological interactions in this disease. © 2018, Pediatria Ltd. All rights reserved
