Postmodern Philosophy and Contemporary Art

The author of the article reviews the major ideas of the postmodern philosophy that have found a visual embodiment in the artistic forms of contemporary art. In this context, the author analyzes the conceptual understanding of modern society, the position and tasks of an individual, included in the postmodern social processes. Special attention is paid to J. Baudrillard's concept on the "hyperreal" essence of the social.
