The synthesis of a lower double molybdate from Na(2)Mo(2)O(7) and Sm(2)Mo(2)O(7) is studied by the methods of physicochemical analysis (X-ray diffraction, DTA, IR spectroscopy, crystal optics). The possibility in principle of preparing the molybdate is shown. Some of its physicochemical characteristics are studied
