Ancient Egyptian religious cosmogonic texts are one of the first monuments of the Ancient Near East pre-philosophical traditions that give her the vocabulary of ontological categories. The article discusses several cosmogonic texts relating to Heliopolis and the Theban theological traditions. As a result, their analysis revealed the transformation of the cosmogonic myth from visual-empirical categories, expressing the process of creation, to more abstract images of transcendent being, not related to the characteristics of the experienced universe.
