Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG is one of the most widely used strains of probiotic microorganisms. The review presents information about the effectiveness of using L. rhamnosus GG in various gastroenterological conditions (treatment of acute gastroenteritis, prevention of nosocomial and antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, adjuvant therapy for H. pylori-associated diseases, etc.). Special attention is paid to of the safety of using L. rhamnosus GG in clinical practice and approaches to dosingin RF and other countries and regulatory aspects of probiotics usage. © 2018 Dynasty Publishing House.
