A febre dos podcasts de política no Brasil

This article aims to map the production of political podcasts about politics in Brazil. Since 2014, we have followed the growth of this type of media in the country, setting up a new field of information and political discussion. This research seeks to shed light on the main characteristics of these podcasts, such as: linkage, frequency, date of creation, specialty or topic discussed in the programs and political positioning. To illustrate the phenomenon, we propose an exploratory study that collects quantitative data (N = 125) from podcasts and qualitative data through in-depth interviews (N = 6) with those responsible for some podcasts. This work intends to present the field of this media as part of the communication ecosystem composed of different means of political information in the face of recent political crises and processes in Brazil. As main results, we highlight the dominance of the political podosphere by independent productions, linked to the left, released weekly and dealing with "National Politics" as a major theme in their episodes. In addition, there was a peak in the launch of programs in 2019, being this year responsible for almost half of the analyzed corpus.Este artigo objetiva mapear a produção de podcasts que falam sobre política no Brasil. Desde 2014, acompanhamos o crescimento deste tipo de mídia no país, configurando um novo campo de informação e discussão política. Esta pesquisa busca lançar luz sobre as principais características desses podcasts, tais quais: vinculação, periodicidade, data de criação, especialidade ou tema discutido nos programas, além do posicionamento político. Para ilustrar o fenômeno, propomos um estudo exploratório que levanta dados quantitativos (N = 125) de podcasts e dados qualitativos por meio de entrevistas em profundidade (N = 6) com responsáveis por alguns podcasts. Este trabalho pretende apresentar o campo desta mídia como parte do ecossistema comunicacional composto por diferentes meios de informação política frente às crises e processos políticos recentes no Brasil. Como resultados principais, salienta-se o domínio da podosfera política por produções independentes, vinculadas à esquerda, lançadas semanalmente e que tratam de “Política Nacional” como tema majoritário nos seus episódios.
