Background. Inappropriate antibiotic prescription and consequent antibacterial resistance is a major threat to healthcare. Objectives. To evaluate the efficacy of a multifaceted intervention in reducing early career general practitioners' (GPs') antibiotic prescribing for upper respiratory tract infections (URTIs) and acute bronchitis/bronchiolitis.
