In this paper we will try to make a brief reflection on science, appealing to certain proposals of some of the most influential epistemologists in the contemporary world, such as Popper, Villoro or Kuhn. An attempt will be made to analyze the concept of what science is, its limits and scope, as well as its purposes, having as a point of reference the incidence that some examples may have that allow us to visualize its virtues in a general way.
