Insects-plants relationship exists all over the world, either directly or indirectly. Insects affect plants both beneficially and detrimentally. However, some insects become pest only in a certain stage in their life cycle. The purpose of this study is to investigate different pests and their preferred plants. In this study, insect pest development stages were observed on ornamental plants in a home garden at Kuching, Sarawak. The method used in this research is active sampling, which is handpicking.
