BACKGROUND: Aquaporin-4 immunoglobulin-G positive (AQP4-IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) is an autoimmune astrocytopathy associated with optic neuritis (ON). Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody-associated disease (MOGAD) is an oligodendrocytopathy with similar phenotype.
