Violência política de gênero: uma violência simbólica

This paper aims to discuss political violence gendered, one of the several forms of violence against women, as a symbolic violence, a conceptualized by the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu, in his work “Masculine Domination”, to characterize a subtle, unnoticed, without physical coercion. For this purpose of this paper, bibliographical research was adopted as the methodology, it was sought, firstly, to understand the condition of women in a masculine social order from the myth of the eternal feminine, which places women as a perceived-being and opposite to man, based in sociological theories of Simone de Beauvoir and Bourdieu. It is observed that in masculine domination spaces were divided between the sexes, excluding women from public spaces, where the political sphere is located, it has become necessary to analyze this distribution and how women entered the political public space. This paper contemplates the Brazilian electoral legislation regarding women and its implications based on electoral statistics released by the Superior Electoral Court (of Brazil). It seeks to analyze the reflexes of political violence gendered in Brazilian politics and whether it is the possible cause of female underrepresentation. Finally, it is concluded that legal measures, such as the gender quota, have not been sufficient to encourage and increase female representation and participation in Brazilian politics, because it is a structural problem.Este trabalho objetiva discutir a violência política de gênero, uma das diversas formas de violência contra a mulher, enquanto uma violência simbólica, conceito elaborado pelo sociólogo Pierre Bourdieu, em sua obra “A Dominação Masculina”, para caracterizar uma violência sutil, que passa despercebida, sem coação física. Para isto, adotando-se como metodologia a pesquisa bibliográfica, buscou-se, primeiramente, compreender a condição da mulher em uma ordem masculina a partir do mito do eterno feminino, que a coloca como um ser-percebido e oposto ao homem, respaldando-se nas teorias sociológicas de Simone de Beauvoir e Bourdieu. Observa-se que na dominação masculina espaços foram divididos entre os sexos, excluindo as mulheres dos espaços públicos, onde se encontra a esfera política, fazendo-se necessário analisar essa repartição e como se deu o ingresso das mulheres no espaço público político. O presente trabalho contempla a legislação eleitoral brasileira no que concerne às mulheres e suas implicações com base nas estatísticas eleitorais divulgadas pelo Tribunal Superior Eleitoral. Busca-se analisar os reflexos da violência política de gênero na política brasileira e se ela é a possível causa da sub-representação feminina. Por fim, conclui-se que as medidas legais, como a cota de gênero, não têm sido suficientes para incentivar e aumentar a representação e participação feminina na política brasileira, tratando-se de um problema estrutural
