O sistema penitenciário e o adoecimento físico e mental dos policiais penais

The present work has as its theme to analyze the recurring physical and mental illness of specific professionals in the area of public security in the prison system, the Criminal Police. Configuring a little-entered universe, in which the eyes tend to turn to the violations of inmates' rights, it is sometimes forgotten that workers responsible for guaranteeing security in prison establishments are also included there. A closer look can bring great contributions to the entire penal structure, for that, the study addresses a brief historical contextualization of the Brazilian penitentiary system, as well as when dealing with the position of these professionals, it points out current legislative changes on the career, in addition to bringing bibliographic surveys. of studies already carried out, with the objective of presenting the struggles suffered by these professionals and the consequences generated. Finally, as a hypothesis, the objective and subjective responsibility of the State for the physical and mental illness of criminal police officers, resulting from the violation of fundamental rights, such as the dignity of the human person and the work environment.O presente trabalho analisa o recorrente adoecimento físico e mental de específicos profissionais da área de segurança pública no sistema prisional, a Polícia Penal. Configurando- se como um universo pouco adentrado, no qual os olhos costumam voltar-se às violações de direitos dos detentos, esquece-se, por vezes, que também estão inseridos nos estabelecimentos prisionais os trabalhadores responsáveis pela garantia da segurança. Um olhar mais atento pode trazer grandes contribuições para toda a estrutura penal. Para isso, o estudo aborda uma breve contextualização histórica do sistema penitenciário brasileiro, e uma incursão no trabalho dos profissionais da policia penal, sobretudo nas mudanças legislativas atuais sobre a carreira. Além disso, o trabalho aborda levantamentos bibliográficos de estudos já realizados, com o objetivo de apresentar os desafios e vicissitudes que permeiam a prática da Polícia Penal. O trabalho tem, por fim, como hipótese levantada, a responsabilidade objetiva e subjetiva do Estado pelo adoecimento físico e mental dos profissionais referenciados, decorrente da violação de direitos fundamentais, como a dignidade da pessoa humana e o meio ambiente de trabalho
