Se evaluó el efecto larvicida del extracto etanólico de Citrus latifolia (limón o lima ácida Tahití), para el control biológico de larvas en IV estadio de Aedes aegypti en condiciones de laboratorio, en donde se obtuvo que el extracto etanólico de Citrus latifolia es una alternativa favorable debido a que logra una letalidad del 97% en una muestra de 100 individuos a concentración de 700 ppm transcurridas 24 horas de exposición, ya una concentración de 500 ppm tiene una letalidad del 56% en los individuos expuestos a la sustancia, alcanza el tiempo letal del 50% a las 36.7 horas y el 90% a las 74,4 horas de entrar en contacto el extracto Citrus latifolia con la muestra de Aedes aegypti.
